Arjuna asks
BHAGAVAD GĪTĀ · 6.37What happens to one with faith who tries, and falls short?
Kṛṣṇa answers
BHAGAVAD GĪTĀ · 6.40“For no one who does good ever comes to an evil end.”
Trying is never wasted.
Arjuna asks about the person who sets out sincerely and does not finish. Is all of it lost? Kṛṣṇa’s answer is one of the gentlest lines in the Gītā: no one who does good comes to a bad end, in this life or the next.

Samvāda is software, an AI companion tuned to the Bhagavad Gītā. It is not a person. It answers from the verse and shows you which one, and it never pretends to be Kṛṣṇa.

Arjuna's worry in chapter 6 is about effort that ends halfway. After 6.36 says that yoga is hard for an unrestrained mind but can be reached by right effort, 6.37 asks about the person who has faith but too little effort, whose mind wanders from yoga before reaching perfection: what way does that person go? 6.38 makes the fear sharper: fallen from both paths, with no support, does the person perish like a torn cloud? 6.39 asks Kṛṣṇa to remove the doubt completely, since no one else can. The reply is 6.40: there is no destruction for such a person here or hereafter, because no one who does good comes to an evil end. 6.41 goes on to say where the one who slipped is born again.
