The first live commentary

Sañjaya was miles from the war.

“By the grace of Vyāsa, I have heard this supreme mystery…”

Sañjaya was nowhere near the battlefield. By Vyāsa’s grace he saw and heard all of it, and told it word by word to the blind king Dhṛtarāṣṭra. The whole Gītā reaches us through his commentary.

Ask the Gītā your own question.

Arjuna asked his. Samvāda answers yours with the Gītā's own verses.

Samvāda is software, an AI companion tuned to the Bhagavad Gītā. It is not a person. It answers from the verse and shows you which one, and it never pretends to be Kṛṣṇa.

Going deeper

Near the end, the Gītā explains how we are hearing it. 18.74 is Sañjaya's summary: he has heard this wondrous conversation between Vāsudeva and the great-souled Arjuna, and it makes his hair stand on end. 18.75 gives the source of his hearing: by the grace of Vyāsa he has heard this supreme secret of yoga, spoken in person by Kṛṣṇa, the Lord of yoga. 18.76 adds that he remembers the dialogue again and again and rejoices each time. So the narrator himself credits his hearing to a gift of grace. The whole book is passed on in his voice to the blind king who asked at the start. The closing verses begin in chapter 18, and what the Gītā says about devotion gathers related verses.
