Commentary

Knowing and loving turn out to be one act. Krishna has just named himself the highest person, beyond the perishable and the imperishable both, and now says what follows for whoever sees it: that one knows everything. Not every fact. The one thing every fact hangs on. And the seeing does not stay in the head; it comes out as love, sarva-bhāvena, with the whole of what you are. He calls Arjuna Bhārata here — a man of his family, not a sage. Clear sight was never cold. When you finally see what holds you, the seeing arrives already warm.

Frequently asked

What does Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15 Verse 19 mean?
It means that seeing Krishna as puruṣottama, the highest person, is not one piece of knowledge among many — it is the knowing that completes all knowing. And such sight does not stay cool and detached. The one who sees this way turns toward Krishna with everything he has.
What does yo mam evam asammudho janati purushottamam mean?
Whoever knows me thus, unclouded, as the highest person. The word asammūḍha matters — undeluded, not confused about what I am. Krishna is not asking for belief in a description. He is speaking of the moment the confusion drops and what remains is simply seen.
How can knowing one thing make someone a knower of everything?
Because everything perishable and imperishable rests on the one Krishna has just named. Know that, and the rest is no longer a scatter of separate facts but arrangements of one thing. You do not gain more information. You stop mistaking the parts for the whole.
What does it mean to worship with all one's being?
Sarva-bhāvena leaves no corner out — not the intellect only, not the feelings only. Your work, your fear, your ordinary hours all lean the same direction. Krishna is not asking for more devotion. He is saying that when sight is clear, devotion is what the whole of you does.
